Handcrafted Marigold (Genda) Fabric Toran

A long garland of pleated-fabric marigolds that never wilts, made for the main door of a home or shop.

This toran is handcrafted from pleated fabric with a soft, silk-like sheen. Each petal is a folded pleat, dyed in an even gradient from marigold yellow to warm orange, and the scalloped fringe row is finished by hand on a deep-red fabric band. It drapes and reads exactly like a fresh genda toran, but it can be cleaned, stored, and rehung for every Diwali, griha pravesh, and puja that follows.

Hang it over the main door, the puja-room entrance, or a wide window. One design, four lengths to fit a small inner door to a full-height entrance.

Material: pleated fabric with a silk-like sheen (a durable, reusable alternative to fresh flowers, not fresh flowers)

Top band: deep-red fabric band that keeps the pleats in place

Finish: scalloped fringe, each pleat folded by hand

Care: dust with a soft dry cloth; air in shade if needed
